Inside Sales Specialist– Greater Cincinnati

The selected candidate will report to the Product Manager, DHA and their primary focus is to contact physicians, hospitals, pharmacies and others over the telephone to promote ethical pharmaceutical products. 
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):

1. Develop, increase and maintain sales through implementation of marketing strategies and by providing current, accurate and meaningful product information to physicians, pharmacies, hospitals and other assigned customers.

2. Make outbound calls to potential and existing customers by telephone and e-mail to sell targeted products.

3. Provide product samples to qualified customers as requested.

4. Track stock levels at targeted pharmacies.

5. Maintain customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database.

6. Interact with field sales team as needed to develop accounts.

7. Investigate and resolve customer issues.

8. Interact with national account and trade relations managers on managed healthcare, Medicare, Medicaid and other issues and coordinate activities with other key personnel to ensure coordination of selling efforts.

9. Maintain up-to-date call records.

10. Develop and maintain functional knowledge of SOP for emergency information, clinical and patient inquiries and product related inquiries.

11. Represent organization at trade association meetings to promote products.

12. Participate in sales meetings and training programs.

13. Adhere to industry related guidelines including PDMA, OIG, AMA & Pharma Code. 

14. Adhere to company expense reporting policies.

 


Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a science or business related field with one year’s sales experience, or retail pharmacy experience preferred.
• Proven success in implementing sales strategy and tactics.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and diverse projects concurrently.
• Demonstrated ability to develop relationships and generate collaborations.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Team player with high integrity and an open, interactive style with strong interpersonal skills.
• Assertive, decisive and results-oriented
