Xanodyne Acquires Drug Enhancement Company of America, LLC

Florence, KY — January 7, 2002 — Xanodyne™ Pharmacal,™ Inc. announced today that it has acquired Drug Enhancement Company of America, LLC (DECA), a privately held pharmaceutical product development company.

Xanodyne Pharmacal, Inc. is a branded specialty pharmaceutical company focused in the therapeutic areas of oncology, hematology, and pain management. I believe this adds tremendous value to the Company and will enhance our ability to introduce new oncolytics and pain management products into the market."
