Xanodyne Launches Unique Cough Product
Florence, KY — August 19, 2002 — Xanodyne Pharmacal, Inc. today announced that it has launched nationwide the unique cough suppressant DexAlone® (dextromethorphan hydrobromide, 30 mg). DexAlone is the only non-prescription cough product on the market that provides cough sufferers with three key advantages: maximum cough control, one of the safest antitussives available, and a convenient take-it-with-you gelcap form. DexAlone is currently available in select pharmacies and from drugstore.com but will soon be available nationwide in grocery stores and pharmacies. Maximum cough control. The highest level of dextromethorphan per dose allowed without a prescription. DexAlone has 50% more dextromethorphan per dose than Robitussin® DM and lasts twice as long (up to eight hours).
One of the safest antitussives available. The product has no narcotic side effects at the recommended dose (like sedation, constipation, respiratory depression or addiction). DexAlone contains only one active ingredient, pure dextromethorphan, to avoid potential complications when taken with other medications.
